Ember Camp

Six Grumbles — round, masked bramble goblins — have carried the Ember Crown up to their walled hilltop camp, and you are going in after it. Slip in under the moon, stay out of the firelit cones of their eyes, open the chest by the big fire and get back out past the palisade. There are three ways in: the tall-grass flank in the east, the dark tents path in the west where the lanterns can be doused, and the boulder ridge in the north, where one push sends a boulder rolling through the broken wall to bowl over the north watch fire. Each Grumble paints its vision on the ground, a lookout sweeps the tents path from the tower, and fires, lanterns and torches light you up. Crouching halves how visible you are, and crouching in tall grass hides you completely. Walking makes footsteps they come to check
